What’s the REAL sign that you have arrived?

My USAA card just came in the mail.

They evidently have my number. And might I say, I am still officially 49, actually 49.7 so I have a ways to go. But USAA knows that the date looms later this year.

But this is a milestone and it had me thinking about how we respond personally to milestones in our lives.  Did you see 30 or 40 (if you are past those) as significant?  I didn’t for some reason. But 50 does feel like a hump.

You know how they say “youth is wasted on the young?”  Well I think the opposite happens too. Maturity is best left to the experienced. I see the next decade as something to relish. I love this stage of life.  My 40’s were fabulous and the last few years especially! I have let things go that were once a thorn in my side. I have put my health farther up the priority chain, but without being obsessed about aerobics. I also have realigned the balancing of personal development time with work or other drudgeries.

This is why so many “seasoned” women are finding Skirt Strategies attractive. It puts life in perspective, and keeps a sense of humor (one of my most beloved philosophies).

We love hearing from the others of you out there. Keep in touch!
