In this podcast Katie and Carol interview Megan Kamerick. Megan is passionate about getting women’s voices out into media. She has been a journalist for 20 years and worked at business weeklies in San Antonio, New Orleans and most recently at the New Mexico Business Weekly. She has also freelanced for New Mexico Journeys, New Orleans Magazine and Art Business News and is a long-time independent producer and volunteer at KUNM radio hosting news and music programs. She now hosts Public Square, a monthly television show on New Mexico PBS that focuses on healthy youth and families. Megan’s TEDx Albuquerque talk on women and media recently went national on TED.com. It has garnered more than 122,000 views and prompted a spirited, and contentious, online discussion.
